Every family has a “funny” (you remember that old term for gay) aunt or uncle, and WGKG’s “family” is no different. Actually the whole family is kinda “funny”, so fitting in is not a problem for Aunty Ursula. She wishes she could say “been there, done that, almost got arrested for that” for everything, but alas, she is only human, and she can only bring her years of experience in the game of life to this little piece of WGKG.
She’s traveled, loved (and lost), seen heartache (and probably caused some), and laughed, cried, and carried on with the best of them. She’s peddled fish, drawn fine art, driven a taxi, co-founded NTG Radio, and rode a Harley. Gotten drunk in the finest (and the not so finest) of places, and experienced the infamous “morning after”, where memory was just a fleeting friend. Taken off on a whim, and held steadfast in times of trouble.
She is a friend who will listen, and attempt to give you the best and honest answer she possibly can by drawing on what has happened in her own life and those around her. Think of Aunty Ursula as the aunt you call when you just can’t talk to anyone else. She’ll give you her advice, as aunts usually do, from the heart, as it should be.
Although Auntie Ursula would love to be correct on all her insights, many times things may be more than she can fix or help with. Understand that she is not a professional, merely a friend offering guidance. If a problem is one that you feel you need to keep turning to her for help, maybe it is one that she would love to help with but can’t.
